SLOVAKIA-Liptovsky Jan
Liptovsky Jan is situated about 5 km from our town- Liptovsky Hradok. The healing water was discovered here in the times of Maria Therese when her pagans used to wash the clothes in the springs and noticed the positive effects of this water on their body. So the queen and the nobility used to come here to have a bath. That´s why so many hotels, swimming pools and manor houses were built in the village.
Near one of the springs was built a small lake called Kada. It is on the place of a former volcano. Water is 20°C warm. You can have a free bath here but just for 20 minutes due to the sulphur smell. In the area you can find a small stage with wooden statues for some folk performances in summer and a playground for children. The attractions for them are made wood.
