LOVELY WEEK WITH THE FRENCH GROUP
20-27 November 2017
20th November 2017, the day when a week started with the French group. The burglers opened the Ceremony and started the programme. Afterwards we introduced ourselves, the Czech group, where we said some words about us. Then we showed to the French group various resorts of spas and videos about Trutnov. Katerina Maresova talked about falconry and her her predator Artemis. Martin Sprenar demonstarted deer luring and differences between the young and old deers. At the end we played questions and answers game, then we had a drink, ate prepared refreshments like canapé, cakes and in a good mood we entered final project mobility. The same afternoon the French students went to learn something about the 1st resort, Velichovky spa.
Tuesday morning came and we went together to snowed Janske Lazne. 1st item of our program was a lecture about spa itself and various health procedures. After the lecture we went through all places and we had opportunity to see how children do exercices. After lunch we visited a new track in the treetops, where we came on snowshoes. The tour guide of KRNAP told us a lot of interesting things conected with ecosystem and biotop around the spa. Very tired but loaded with new experiences we sat in our comfortable school bus. In the evening we had opportunity to meet French students to show them charm of Trutnov.
On Wednesday the French students visited historical spa Kuks and Braun ´s Nativity Scene and in the afternoon they had possibility to see ZOO in Dvur Kralove nad Labem and the special places which are not accessible to public.
On Thursday the French students went to a paper mill in Velke Losiny, where they had a lecture. In the afternoon they studied about spa resort and nearby park. Afterwards they enjoyed a great spa Velke Losiny.
Friday started in chemistry classroom, where we analised the water samples from various spas. We measured pH, temperature, conductivity and antocyanides with help of red cabbage infusion.
This was followed by a long trip to Karlovy vary, where we arrived in the evening and got accommodated. We spent time to become more familiarized together.
It was a raining day on Saturday but we did not care.
After delicious continental breakfast we went to Thermal hotel, where was a guide Lubos. He gave us a tour through various thermal springs and told us info about town and its history. After the tour we got on local public transportation and went to a restaurant close to spa, where we spent 2 hours in the swimming pool, sauna and whirpool. After fun we walked through colonnades. In the evening we enjoyed time full of fun again.
Sunday morning was sad, as it was a farewell time. On the way back we wanted to utilize our last moments together. We had to split in Prague from where our French friends went by plane and we continued to Trutnov.
Whole week was in a good atmosphere and we all gained new friendships. We believe that one day will come in the future, where we all will meet again to refresh our friendships.
