Erasmus + TWAS visit of FRANCE 13th-21st October 2017
13th October
We came to the school and loaded our luggage into the cars at 6 o´clock. We took photos of our group, with flags in front of our school.
We started our long way at 9 o´clock.We had the lunch near Trnava and crossed the border of Slovakia and Austria at 1pm , later at about 6pm the border with Germany. We slept in a hotel in Munich.
14th October
We woke up at 6.30 am and we had breakfast in Munich.We left this town at 7am.We crossed the borders between Germany , Switzerland and France. We had lunch in Valencia and came to Vic at 11pm.
15th October
Today we had breakfast in a country house. We visited the sunny spa in Cambo and we went to Anton choclate factory. We watched how the people used wood for building the benches, cover for the lift, bridges for handicapped people there. We saw the oaks, palms, cedars there. Later we had a picnic near the lake. We ate baguette with cheese, ham, grapes and tomatoes. In the afternoon we went to the Atlantic ocean to have a swim there. Dinner was in the town of Biarritz. We went to bed after midnight.
16th October
Our day started at 9 o´clock after breakfast with official welcome at Jean Monet school. Mr Francis showed us around it and then we had lunch in a school canteen . After lunch we had a long journey to Cielo thermal spa. The manager showed us around it, we took the water samples. This water was used to cure rheumatism. Then we had a bath in the spa and went to school for dinner. After it we had a meeting to summarise a day.
17th October
We went to school for breakfast. After it we had a meeting in the school with French students.We did some activities. We made friends with French students and then we had lunch. In the afternoon we visited Aquensis spa. In this spa we swam and we could visit some saunas. We saw how people used the wood to build the ceiling, beams and walls. After it we visited the church in the town Ponzac. In the church was a wooden althar, ceiling and benches. At 7pm we had dinner in the school. Tarbes.
18th October
After breakfast we went to the town of Lourdes which is famous for its pilgrimages. We saw the cathedral, springs, underground cathedral, hospital and congess building. It started to rain so we couldn´t go hiking.We had a quick picnic in Cauterets. At 2pm we had a walk round the Les Sains du Rocher spa. Here were cured respiratory diseases and rheumatism. After it we swam in the pools inside and outside the spa. We met there the director of the spa who offered us refreshment.It was very nice of him.
19th October
This day we had the water analysis with the French students. We worked in mixed groups and tested our English, too. We wrote the results of the analysis in prepared papers. French students told their impressions about this activity.
After it we went to our houses and packed our luggage. At 7.30 we had an official dinner with speeches and gifts. We enjoyed French food – the seafood, spicy meat, sweets. After a short party we went home to have a good sleep before long journey.
20th October
The journey back home started very early- at 6pm.We travelled along the southern coast of France, passing by Saint Trope, Cannes, Monaco, we enterd Italy and came to Verona in the evening. We stayed in a nice hotel and after a night spent there we went on to Venice. We sailed to the townrushed to St. Marco square, bought some souvenirs, took some pisctures and continues through Italy and Austria to the north. We arrived in Lipt. Hradok at 11pm.
